More Stuff on Saturday...
In addition to the Graphic Novel Day activities I mention in the post below, I'll also be visiting the South Regional Library in the Woodlands, TX this Saturday. I'm going to talk about why I make comics. If you're in the area, please come, especially if you're a cartoonist or an aspiring cartoonist. Details here.

Thanks so much for visiting my site! And thank you for sharing your experiences. Faith (like marriage and teaching and art and pretty much everything else that is important in my life) has always been a struggle for me. It's a struggle that's sometimes fun and often rewarding, but it's a struggle nonetheless. Good to know that I'm not the only one.
Hi, I didn't know how else to contact you and I knew you'd probably want to know about this. I first read American Born Chinese in a bookstore but hadn't had the chance to really digest it. I just read it again after I read an interview with you gave about the Christian undertones to the book. My relationship with God this past year has been particularly rocky. I've been pretty angry with Him; angry enough to stop talking to Him. Your book touched me in such a way that I see that some of my anger with Him was about my doubts if He really loved me or not- loved me just the way I am. While I'm still angry at God (I often call him "my dad" when talking to my friends), I feel like I might be able to start talking to him again. So I don't want to use some stupid pithy saying like "thank you for saving my faith," but I wanted you to know that in some small way you've helped me to open up a little bit more to the one that both of us confess as Father, Sovereign and Savior.
