Just got back from the Oregon Association of School Libraries Annual Conference.
Derek Kirk Kim and I did a session on Comics in the Classroom, then I did a presentation on how comics are invading American culture. I always enjoy these librarian shindigs. They're so enthusiastic about comics and graphic novels! Thanks, OASL!

I donÂ’t usually reply to posts but I will in this case. IÂ’ve been experiencing this very same problem with a new WordPress installation of mine. IÂ’ve spent weeks calibrating and getting it ready when all of a suddenÂ… I cannot delete any content. ItÂ’s a workaround that, although isnÂ’t perfect, does the trick so thanks! I really hope this problem gets solved properly asap.

I attended your morning session with Derek and have to say it was fantastic. I took the ideas back to my english teachers and they are so excited about the idea of helping students to communicate effectively through this medium. The exercise in which we "flipped" the internal and external, drawing one and captioning the other, was really enlightening. Thanks for the inspiration, Holly
