In just two days, Ohio State's 2010 Festival of Cartoon Art begins! The festival's already sold out, but I thought I'd mention it anyway. I'll be speaking there on Saturday about American Born Chinese. There are going to be many, many awesome aspiring and professional cartoonists there, including Art Spiegelman, James Sturm, and Matt Groening!

After I registered for the Festival of Cartoon Art, I began researching some of the speakers who I was unfamiliar with. You happened to be one of them. I checked out American Born Chinese from the local library and I just flew through it. I just couldn't put it down.

Some of the other speakers such as Dan Piraro and Tony Cochran were very amusing, but I found your presentation to be more interesting. Learning some of the background behind the book and a bit of your thought processes was great. I'll definitely be looking for some of your other work now.
